“First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.”
– Epictetus
Wishing to become a different, or better person is just the start. If we want to change, we’ll have to work for it. That’s what this quote comes down to. I can call myself a writer, but if I don’t write, am I really a writer? The same applies to everything else. If you want to become the best version of yourself and follow your dreams, you have to work to make those dreams a reality. So, what do you want to be? And if you know what it is, work towards it!
Have a good one!

Jeffrey, Another good one for Stoic Shorts #6. How could anyone disagree with what Epictetus says!!! Crudely said, if you want to be it, do it! As always I find YOUR COMMENTS, your elaboration, more edifying than the quotation!!! Good job once again, Jeffrey! Phil
