Monday Musings, Week 50, 2021

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Ours was a bit different from what we had planned, but we still had a good time. Yesterday we were supposed to visit Bren’s uncle and aunt, but a relative of theirs is infected with Corona, so the advise was to cancel our appointment and reschedule. It was just as well, because I was feeling a bit under the weather myself (no Corona, thankfully ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). So I spent all afternoon going through my old LEGO sets. I ended up managing to rebuild one big set, which will go up for sale later today.

Monday Musings (50)

It was a good week, last week

I was looking back at my posts from last week and I noticed that so many people liked my post about my 2021 goals! It really confirms that I’m doing something that can help other people. At the same time, my in-depth Metroid Zero Mission review wasn’t read as much as I had hoped, but if there’s anything why I’m blogging, it’s because I love writing and videogames are a favourite subject of mine, so I’m not going to quit doing it, it just means gaming people are probably not very aware of this blog. I can’t blame them ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyway, it’s nice to see that people are enjoying my blog and I’m sure to keep up the stream of content headed to this blog!

Preparations for my goals for next year

Two more weeks and then I’m off from my office job for two weeks. It’s a busy time now, so I can’t wait for our Yule celebration here at home and having some well deserved time off together with Bren. But, as you might know by now we both can’t really sit still, so I’m sure we will be using our time off to make new plans for next year. But I’ll be working on my personal goals starting this week. I’ve already given it some thought and besides writing I have always loved drawing. I’m thinking about picking it up next year and that’ll probably turn into a brand new goal in some form or other. Mainly I’m inspired by a lot of fan art I see and I would just love to create some of my own, to express my love for certain games, or fandoms. But the main reason I’d love to be able to draw good is so I can illustrate my own version of the Kevar for my upcoming novel. I know it’ll probably take a very long time before my skills will be any good, but you gotta aim high, is what I always say!

Upcoming articles this week

I’m planning to write a couple of articles this week. One about determining goals and probably another soundtrack deepdive, maybe a book review, because I’ve been getting into the newย Star Wars: The High Republic series and am now reading one of its books!

I hope you’re all planning to have a great week!

Happy Monday!

~Jeffrey
