It’s Monday again! And we’ve already blasted through half of March! That also means it’s only two more weeks until I can wave goodbye to my thirties and can say hello to the forties. I really don’t feel anywhere near forty, but I suppose I should consider that a really good thing.
So, what’s been going on here? Well, I haven’t been sitting still, that’s for sure. Last weekend I continued clearing out our storage downstairs and we got rid of our broken washing machine among other things. Now all that remains is some old furniture and some other stuff I want to try and sell. All the proceeds will then go to Bren’s project. ๐
Appreciating the zero waste lifestyle
As I mentioned last week, Bren is embracing the zero waste lifestyle. I’ve been following in her footsteps, because she made me aware of so much things. The amount of plastics in the supermarket is astonishing when you take the time to really look around you.
I’ve also listened to the audiobook and watched the accompanying documentary ‘A Life on Our Planet’ by David Attenborough and it has such a powerful message, which only made me more determined to also vastly reduce the amount of plastic and even cut back on meat consumption. I won’t ever fully go vegetarian (if I can help it), but eating less meat will help greatly.
The journey thus far has me reading books and watching documentaries on the subject and I really want to continue down this road, because I care for our planet and I don’t want it to be ruined by humanity. Not if I can help it. And even if we are just two people doing our part, I’m certain there are millions of others doing what they can as well. David Attenborough is 93 years old and he is still fighting for our planet. Talk about dedication! But even the likes of Bill Gates, who can really pull a lot of weight with their financial resources are working on these problems of global warming and the environment. We all need to pitch in if we’re going to keep the Earth a habitable planet, by rejoining nature and not living apart from it.
Projects I’m working on
I’m currently working on some projects, of course. One of them is to revitalize my blog a little bit and keeping our blog filled with content. The other is helping Bren with her project and I’ll probably start writing on my other story projects again soon as well, as I took a little break from story writing after I finished my novel.
And this Friday we have an appointment with a mortgage broker. We’re planning to move away from here and want to buy a house for ourselves, so that’s going to be a very exciting adventure! ๐
To-Do
There’s still a lot To-Do, including sharing my other To-Do list making with you guys. I haven’t forgotten it, but there were other priorities for me, so I’ll get around to it soon now.
I hope you all have a great week! I know my To-Do list for this week is huge, but I love a challenge ๐
Happy Monday!
