Recently I got my hands on this set for just 10 Euros! Which is a 50% discount 🙂 Since Bren and I cleared out some of the older LEGO sets, now was a good time to start building some new sets to start our Hidden Side village! ^_^
Out of the box come two bags worth of bricks, a sticker leaflet and an instruction booklet. This set is called “Welcome to Hidden Side” and is meant as an introduction to this line of LEGO sets, which isn’t just a fun build, but is also enhanced with an app with a game that allows you to use your smartphone to play augmented reality games where you have to catch ghosts! I’ve already played this game before, and I have to say, it is so much fun!
This set also contains a load of minifigs, which is a really nice bonus! We have a very cool “night” version of Jack Davids, with his smart phone. He has a reversible head too, so you can choose between a curious and a scared expression on his face. The red ghost is called Axel Chops. A fitting name for someone armed with an axe! 😉

A close up of Axel and Jack 🙂
The second bag contains the other two ghosts, which are the same, except for their heads. But still, I really think they’re awesome! I just love the “legs” of these figures! They’re quite unique and really give that ghost like feeling to the figures.
And here’s the finished tree. I really love it, with all the little details, like the street lantern and the angry face of the tree. This one is great to put next to the graveyard set!
Again, I really love how this minifig of Jack is more of a “night” version of him, because his colours are all dark and blue. It really allows for some great pictures and you can swap him for the regular Jack, who’s featured in pretty much all the other sets.
Overall, this set is just great value for money, especially at the price I managed to get this for. I’m already looking forward to building more sets like these!
