As if I wasn’t lucky enough to have Bren as my girlfriend, she absolutely spoiled me during Valentine’s Day with some lovely gifts 🙂 We spent the entire weekend together doing the things we love most: Reading books, visiting a bookstore and going to a thrift shop in search of hidden gems 🙂

Bren gave me these two books and a beauitful Legend of Zelda Triforce lamp! 🙂

I’m eager to start reading these books. Everything is Fucked by Mark Manson is the latest book by the author of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck I’m curious what more Mark has to offer as a modern philosopher, although I still have to admit he curses a little too much for my tastes. But still, I think this will be a very interesting read.

The other book is Wishful Drinking by the late Carrie Fisher, who is best known for her role as Princess Leia Organa in Star Wars. This is her biographical work and her life was quite something, from what I have heard. She also suffered from bipolar disorder, so it’ll be interesting to see how she experienced this in her life and how it compares to Bren’s experiences. We both want to read this book very much!

We spent our evenings this weekend on the couch with some nice snacks and a good beer, a good book and each other’s company 🙂
