Yesterday I finished reading Sebastiaan Koen’s second novel in his fantasy series and that was the fifth and last in my current TBR pile. I always choose five books that I’m going to read in the next period. I don’t set deadlines for when I want to finish books, because books are a source of relaxation for me. But now that I’ve chosen five new books, I immediately started with one that had my attention for quite some time. “If Cats Disappeared from the World” from Genki Kawamura.
I was captivated while reading this book and I just didn’t want to stop. So, eventually I noticed Bren turning off all the lights, clearing the salon table and heading for the bathroom to brush her teeth. I wasn’t even aware that it was already that late, but I didn’t want to stop reading either. I read a few more pages, before deciding to just finish the chapter in bed.
Once I made it to the bathroom I said to Bren: “I just now came to the realisation that I have become exactly like you. I have become a book dragon.” I did enjoy reading a little more, but the more I do it, the more easily it becomes and the more I seem to thoroughly enjoy the art of reading a good book. Also, it’s giving me a ton of inspiration for stories of my own creation! π
I can’t wait to share my review of this book, so keep an eye out for that later this week!
Happy Monday!
