Review: LEGO® 75228 Escape Pod vs. Dewback Microfighters

These  sets with two Microfighters are among the best this series has to offer. Especially if they feature minifigures of two of your favourite characters in all of Star Wars. We’re huge droid fans and love C-3PO and R2-D2! We built this set together, since this is also advertised on the back of the box, and we love building together!

The box contains two large, numbered bags and two separate instruction booklets. Bag one contains the escape pod with the lovable droid duo, while bag two contains the Sandtrooper and the buildable Dewback.

“I assure you, sir. We are not the droids you are looking for!”

The minifigures in this set are great! Not only do you get two awesome droids, but the Sandtrooper is very detailed, including a cloth pauldron and a lot of sand caked on the armour itself, and a backpack with various tools.

It took us about fifteen minutes to build both of the Microfighters simultaneously. The Dewback is awesome too. We think we’d actually prefer if large creatures from Star Wars were buildable figures instead of large plastic casts. This Dewback would look really cool in a Tatooine diorama!

This definitely is the best set of the Microfighters series 6, that’s why we kept it for last 😉 We loved building these sets and are looking forward to the next series already!
