Series 6 of the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters series is a very nice collection of little ships. It includes a Naboo Starfighter, with child Anakin Skywalker as the pilot, Darth Maul and his Sith Infiltrator and a very cool dual build set of a Dewback with Sandtrooper and an escape pod with R2-D2 and C-3PO minifigures. All in all a nice collection with some love for Episode I and Episode IV! This is the first review of the series, the Naboo Starfighter!
Out of the box there’s two bags and the instruction booklet. It takes roughly fifteen minutes to build this little starfighter, but it’s a lot of fun!

Time to build us a Naboo Starfighter, Anakin! 😀
The instruction booklet contains 27 steps, which isn’t that much, making this set a great one if you have a little bit of time to spare!

Seems like there’s some spare parts left. Hopefully the Starfighter will fly, R2!
I really like the details LEGO manages to put into these little microfighters. The exhaust vents on the side are nice and the engines look great too! I always loved the sleek design of the Naboo ships, so this is a nice addition to the collection!

And the final result! Now this is podracing! 😉
This new series of microfighters looks great so far. In all honesty I do think this set is the least interesting of the series. The Sith Infiltrator is a much more interesting ship, and I simply love droids, so the escape pod with R2-D2 and C-3PO was the set I wanted to have when I saw it. Still, I really like the Naboo Starfighter. It’s a great price/quality set of LEGO and will look great with the rest of my collection!
