I was a little late starting my collection of Microfighters and at first I thought I’d just skip them altogether, but then there were a lot of really fun looking sets with minifigures I really wanted, so I bent and got nearly all of Series 5 now, with the exception of the Ski Speeder vs. First Order Walker set, which I’m still planning on getting. 🙂
Last Friday the sad news reached us that Peter Mayhew, the actor who portrayed Chewbacca in the original trilogy and many more appearances had passed away. I was so saddened by this news that I decided to make a picture in honour of him, but in order to do that I needed the Chewbacca minifigure from this set. So, who needs a better reason to build, then? 🙂 I most certainly did not!

The instruction booklet
Microfighters are quick builds, that will probably cost you fifteen minutes of building. That’s how long it took me at a leisurely pace. The box contains two small bags with large and smaller pieces.

The bags’ contents
After piecing together the set, I took the minifigure of Chewie and took a nice picture with the Han Solo from the Carbonite Freezing Chamber set (75137). I like the end result, although I really plan on getting some better equipment for taking pictures of my LEGO sets.

“The princess- you have to take care of her! Do ya hear me, huh?”
This set is really nice to display with other Microfighters, so I guess I’m going to try and collect them all from now on. Maybe even try to get my hands on the older sets as well. 🙂

And here’s the completed set! Fun, simple, with a very cool, detailed minifigure!
I hope you liked this review, do you collect Microfighters as well? Please let me know in the comments!
