Looks like I completely forgot to write the second part of my review for this set! Better late than never, I suppose 😉 Previously, I wrote a review for the A-Wing of this wonderful Star Wars: Rebels LEGO set. The last three (or four) bags of this set contain all the bricks you need to build the X-01 TIE Advanced, the infamous ship Darth Vader piloted and one of the best looking TIE ships, if you ask me.

Bags numbered 4 thru 6 contain the X-01 TIE Advanced

The minifigures included in the bags for this part of the set are Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin. Two of my favourite villains from the Star Wars universe, alongside Emperor Palpatine and Grand Admiral Thrawn. The fantastic four of the Galactic Empire! 😛

Tarkin and two loyal troopers will assist in building the Dark Lord’s ship!

The first bag contains the “base” of the ship. I was drinking some water from this awesome glass while I was building it. Gotta support our boys in black, right? 😉

The second bag has you finish the centre of the fighter, including the cockpit and engines.

This loyal trooper is adding the final touches to the cockpit window under supervision of Grand Moff Tarkin.

The last two bags were both numbered 6 and I wondered if I had accidentally received the bag twice. Turns out both of the wings are inside these bags!

I can’t express how much I love this ship. It’s one of the most iconic from the original Star Wars movie A New Hope and although it was disabled by the rebel scum in the fight around Yavin IV it was great seeing it blow several X-wings to smithereens!

Overall this set is great! Like I said before, I didn’t like the paint job on the A-Wing so much as I did the classical red and white, but overall this is just a great set with some wonderful minifigures. The price was a bit steep, but this ship is a must have for all Empire lovers 😉
