It’s Monday, but it’s also the first day of my week off from my office job! Which means I’ll have all the time to go through my manuscript this week and finish brushing up on it. I hope that by the end of the week I can start sending my manuscript out to my proofreaders and get their feedback as well. We’re getting close and closer to finishing yet another writing project and it feels great!

The Droid I Was Looking For

Look what arrived in the mail today! The box for the newest R2-D2 model is BIG! We can’t wait to start building it, this is such a lovely set and R2-D2 is still one of my all-time favourite droids of all of Star Wars. Which is odd, when you think about it, because R2 doesn’t speak our language, yet he is one of the most charming and well known characters in the entire saga. Bren and I can’t wait to start working on this awesome building project!

Relaxation

Usually I take a week off from my office job around March, but there were just so many projects and things going on there that I didn’t really have a good chance to take some time off. This week I’ll also be relaxing, which is much needed. We went for a long walk today and we hope the weather stays well enough (at least dry 😛 ) so that we can be outside as much as possible. Bren and I love spending our time in nature and just “being” when we’re in the forest. I often wonder if other people do it too, because I see so many people taking walks and not paying attention to their environment. They’re often looking at their phone screens, or calling someone. It’s not really a good way to relax, if you ask me.

I also plan to catch up on some reading, which I haven’t been doing as much as I had wanted lately. And of course, a week off is a perfect time to give each other some undivided attention as well. Something you really need to keep an eye out for when you’re in a relationship. 🙂
